Malham Cove

At malham we have been learning about limestone and glints.  We never new about all of this stuff.
We climbed 411 limestone steps to the top of Malham Cove - it was very hard but when we reached the limestone pavement we were high up so we could see the whole valley. After a while it started to rain very badly and we all started to slip! Luckily, we didn't get hurt and had a great time.

A few things that we learnt today...

Today we arrived in Yorkshire.  We had a good journey.  After having our lunch we split up into 2 groups.  My group went to gardale scar where Harry Potter was recently filmed.  We had a great time and learnt a few special words like meander - that is were there is a bend in a steam.  After that we met and went opposite directions.  When we split up my group went to a place called Janet's foss . Janet is the queen of the faries.  There was a big waterful and behind that is were Janet lives. Foss in another lanuage means falls.

Woooooooo! We are on the coach waiting for it to start ........ Neads a jump start :( 
We are now on our way and are already having fun. We have a long journey ahead of us so  we better get going we will update you when we get there - bye.  :)

Customising for CAFOD

We are having a fashion show called Customising for CAFOD. It will be held on the Tuesday 24th May. Tickets can be bought at St.Kentigern's Catholic Primary, Blackpool. £1 entry fee (under 5's free). We will be selling Customised clothes and accessories such as: hair clips/grips, handbags, bean bags and even bookmarks.

The children of the school rushed to the windows. The 50 foot long spider sat watching the childrens every move. I stood under the spider not moving anything. I was trying to tell them not to move, but it was to difficult. I had a feeling this is the end. I had to get out some how. All of a sudden, I remembered the knife in my bag. I slowly pulled it out and put the petrol from Mr Cowl's car below the spider. I slowly cut the web and the spider fell. The spider disappeared, and the school cheered. That was enough for a day.

The big black spider

I was just walking past the building. Then I saw a huge spider building a huge web. Every one was screaming. Then I became huge and then I was green with huge muscles - I was the hulk. I crushed the web and chucked it at the spider and it fell over. I picked it up and lobbed it at the end of the street and it got back up and it ran to me and got knocked to the end of the street and it ran for me again but I grabbed its leg and snapped. Then it dissappeared into thin air.

100 word challenge - Lauren

It has come tonights the night we battle but first let me tell you a little bit about what happened. It all started when i was in high school i entered an art competition for young artists like me i loved art until my best friend entered the competition i was determined to win because its my dream, so i sneaked into my friends art room and.. well you'll find out later because it had started my friend was first, then me,then the rest until it was jugging time, oh i almost forgot to tell you i broken my friends art work, it was the only way any way it worked i won, now my friend wants to take over...

I'm going to the illuminations tonight, with Kylie [ My BFF] she is great just as she is. Apparently, there is a new illumination but everyone says its haunted [woooooo!] Me and Kylie don't think its true! Just a myth. I arrived there first and it looked like a big spider to me as I went off to phone Kylie to see were she was [Just around the corner]. We both came back and I said to Kylie that there was a spider there a minute ago and then suddenly the sky went black and everyone vanished! Except Kylie and I.

I stared at the creature as still as a statue not daring to move. I knew that his long legs and heavy body was no match for my week legs and fragile body.The sky was dark and the moon shone upon me. It was then when I heard a voice calling my name. I looked up but all I could see was the fogy sky surrounding the dim stars. I knew no one could help now. The creature looked like a spider yet this one did a lot more than crawl on your hand. I heard the voice again. It said "Don't fear, I will be with you soon." Suddenly the creature jumped. Tonight was the night,the end of all nights...

Just in a colossal spider which has a big hairy boy. It had been on the rampage three and a half hours his girlfriend had had a row over who would have the last weetabix. The police are trying to capture this menacing monster that has know been trying to retrieve his last weetabix off his girlfriend. As the huge spider launched itself of the web, the ground shuck. He pranced around the school, like a bird waiting for its pray. Many peoples life's had been ended by the murderous creature. Children had nightmares about the mysterious animal. There was hundreds at one point, now theres only one. He pounced like a cat on innocent people, it doesn't matter big or small the humans are, he'll eat them. Just one bite, then your dead. The bell rang for break in the school. The children came outside. What would the horrible creature do? 95 Words.

Mum, mum, mum, why? Why did mum send me to this boarding school? At the sight of it I felt like throwing up. The walls were covered in green, moldy ivy and the brown, mud coloured bricks were falling out already and it was only built last year... and the spider, the huge, giant spider, it seemed to be following me. In my old school there was an enormous spider picture just like the one here. Does it haunt me? Why? The inside of the boarding school is worse than the outside. Much worse. Again, the spider's here again ; why is it everywhere I go?

Annabel could see the spider coming towards Her.
She dived to save myself. Her heart was pounding,
They screamed with fright and ran again, it had found them.
I could see my friend in the corner of my eye,
Letitia was almost squished by curious animal.
